Field Service Engineer (FIFO ex Perth)

Job description

Our customer is a global leader in developing drill automation technology to help mining companies improve operational performance and keep people safe.

Their facilities in Perth, are an innovation hub and a centre of excellence for autonomous mining systems in the development and implementation of solutions for mobile and fixed plants.

With ever increasing demand in Western Australia (WA) and around the globe for our autonomous control systems, we are in the look for a capable and technically minded Field Service Engineer to drive the performance and reliability of the Autonomous Drill Fleet through effective troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs and improvements.

This is a FIFO role ex Perth with rotation 8:6

Responsibilities and duties

Carry out maintenance tasks, system checks, and statutory tests as required to keep the control system effective and compliant.
Liaise with our clients to report on performance KPIs, lead and coordinate action-based meetings.
Participate in product development projects and training and mentoring of upcoming talent
Collaborate with the Global field service team to continually improve, align and deliver your own high standard of best practice
Collaborate with the product development team based in Perth by contributing your ideas to drive up the reliability and performance of the control systems.

Skills and experience

In order to be successful, you will ideally have:

Relevant electrical, mechatronic, or mechanical engineering qualification
Two or more years of mine site working experience in Australia or equivalent, with a solid understanding of mining operations.
Hydraulic fluid power or Auto electrical experience
Control or Instrumentation experience
Mining plant installation, commissioning and troubleshooting experience
Blasthole drill operation and drilling fundamentals
Technical report writing and analytical skills
