As an Automation Project Engineer, your role involves contributing to large-scale ventures in construction, mining, and oil and gas. Join a team of seven engineers, under the visionary guidance of our Automation Manager.

Responsibilities and duties

Duties for the role may include:

Automation platform programming (Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens PLC’s)
Industrial network configuration including sensor networks, field bus & control networks.
SCADA programming (iFix, Citect, Ignition, ClearSCADA)
Design / modify panel layout, schematic wiring and termination diagrams for industrial control systems
Developing E,I&C schedules (cable, instrument, I/O, etc.)
Oversee the installation and commission of automation projects onsite.
Deal with major stakeholders to get the project across the line is the most efficient way.

Skills and experience

In order to be successful you may need:

5+ years of proven industrial experience in design, planning, installation and commissioning of Automation solutions for heavy industries (Construction, Minerals, Oil and Gas, Utilities)
Bachelor degree in Automation, Electronics, Electrical or related field.
PMP cert is desired but not a must.
Chartered status is desired but not a must.
Experience with LV and HV systems.
Experience dealing with stakeholders on major projects.
