In the warehouse, the craft a myriad of specialised equipment, from circular or inline weight graders to roller spray units and brush polishers. Their bespoke solutions, including bulk bin tippers, wash units, drying tunnels and dip units, cater to the unique needs of the diverse clientele.

As the demand for our ground breaking automation solutions surges, we are on the lookout for an ambitious Automation Specialist with expertise in Robotics and Computer Vision systems. Current projects necessitate the detections of diverse fruit colours and blemishes, making this role pivotal in advancing our technology frontiers.

 

Responsibilities and duties

Duties for the role include:

  • Designing and implement state of the art automation solutions, seamlessly integrating computer vision and selection technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a harmonious fusion of vision solutions into existing processes.
  • Lead the commissioning process, ensuring flawless functionality of newly implement systems.
  • Continously optimise and fine-tune automation solutions for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
  • Swiftly diagnose and resolve technical issues related to automation systems.
  • Be an active participant in brainstorming sessions, contributing to the ongoing innovation and improvement of internal processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all the solutions to facilitate easy reference and knowledge transfer.

Skills and experience

In order to be successful you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Robotics, Electrical/electronics or a related field.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing automation solutions, particularly in computer vision applications.
  • Familiarity with robotics systems and programming.
  • Experience with PLC programming, SCADA/HMI system design.
