Electronics Product Design Engineer in Auckland

Job description

Our customer is one of the largest manufacturers of frequency control products and timing solutions. Their products can be found at the heart of many applications, from 5G networks to satellites and from emergency beacons to autonomous vehicles.

We are in the look for an electronics product design engineer to plan and carry out design of new products, from concept through to prototyping, design verification and qualification testing.

Other duties may include:

Design and implement test methodologies required for new products and specifications.
Participate in the process of defining process development directions, based on understanding current and pending market needs and technology state of the art.
Provide assistance to solve customer, production and design problems.
Contribute to organisation-wide continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and participate in and/or proactively lead inititiatives.

Skills and experience

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

Solid engineering knowledge and experience in product realisation.
Proficient in the use of circuit modelling and simulation tools
Experience with analogue circuit design and PCB design
Experience with test systems
Ability to provide clear written and verbal communications across a wide range of people
at least 5 years of experience in electronics design role within a high volume manufacturing environment.
Proficient business level english.
