Yard Hand – Delivery Driver in Auckland

Job description

Our customer is a fast-growing Kiwi-owned and operated business offering a first-class selection of excavator attachments to suit all construction needs. They offer a range of excavator thumbs, rippers, hitches and buckets with rock-solid construction and designed to handle any conditions.

Currently we are looking for a Yard Hand, who keeps the yard clean, tidy and organised, delivering hire and new attachments to customers, unloading containers and supporting the service team as necessary

Responsibilities and duties

– Preparing the hire attachments.

– Cleaning attachments when they are returned from hire.

– Delivering hire and new attachments to sites predominately around Auckland.

– At times delivering hire and new attachments to sites nationwide.

– Helping to unload containers of products as they arrive.

– Helping to keep the yard clean, tidy and organised.

– General yard duties.

– Conduct service and maintenance tasks as instructed.

– Delivering or collecting of stock to support warehouse needs.

– Deliver outstanding customer service to all internal or external customers

– Apply a continuous improvement approach.

– Ensure all health and safety practices are met and proactively contribute to improving them

Skills and experience

In order to be successful for this role, you will ideally need

– High attention to detail

– Passion for delivering a great customer experience.

– Forklift experience or License (preferred)

– Class 2 (desired)

– Physically fit and healthy.

– Ability to self manage and work autonomously.

– Willingness and capability to learn new skills.
