Our customer is an innovative enterprise working for the world’s leading semiconductor and product companies in the areas of IoT and Wireless connectivity. Everyday they are developing embedded software for connected systems, designing hardware from silicon to PCB/product level and supporting all other aspects of the connectivity journey from technology selection through to product RF.

We are looking for capable Technical Project Manager who can hit the ground running and be responsible for professional project management across the planning and delivery of  projects and support contracts, for our global brand leading clients. We help our clients by creating game-changing wireless products and platforms that are deployed at scale to improve and enrich lives.

Responsibilities and duties

This role’s purpose is to contribute to the strategic outcomes through the execution of sound project management and leadership. Success in this role will ensure our engineering projects are perceived and delivered at premium levels, attracting high margins, and profitability for the business while delivering highly valued outcomes for clients.

You have strong people and communication skills with sufficient technical knowledge to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the teams you support and clients you serve. You also have extensive hands-on experience in managing and delivering technology projects, as well as establishing the processes and systems, and building internal capabilities in teams to deliver these projects, across a wide range of companies and industries.

We note that for success in this role you must:

  • Lead for outcomes, by measuring, supporting and coaching the stuff that really matters;
  • Be able to say “no,” but explain why to ensure stakeholder understanding is clear;
  • Be a ruthless prioritiser while balancing the needs of customers and stakeholders;
  • Bring evidence-based decision-making to your communication.

Other duties may include:

  • Manage projects to make sure the proposed plan adheres to the timeline, budget and scope.
  • Define and agree responsibilities with stakeholders.
  • Support the high level of technical skills and experience in the delivery team, with structured processes and systems to drive efficiency, transparency and high-quality outcomes.
  • Participate in budget and staff allocation for the project, to deliver projects that meet agreed milestones and deliverables.
